The epic blockbuster Suicide Squad hits cinemas next month, and ahead of the film's release, DC Entertainment have released ten new photos, check them out below!
It's the DC film that everybody's talking about. Will it be dark like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? Or will it take a more lighthearted approach a la Guardians of the Galaxy? There were reports that Suicide Squad underwent some reshoots to add some more levity to the film, and truth be told while we don't know what the tone of the film will be like, we don't have long to wait either way. To bide us by until then though, DC Entertainment have shared some new images revealed exclusively byEntertainment Weekly, which you can check out in the gallery below. Harley Quinn and the Joker look positively insane in the photos, and we're very excited that Leto's Joker appears to have a much larger role in the film than first expected.
The plot synopsis for the film is as follows: "It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?" So is the Joker the enigmatic, insuperable entity? It's possible, but it's a bit of an odd way to describe him.
